New Opportunity within Family Law

Grahame Stowe Bateson are a well-recognised legal practice, with four branches based across the West and North of Yorkshire. Quite recently, a new position has opened up at our Harrogate office. Grahame Stowe Bateson’s Family/Matrimonial Solicitor will be taking maternity leave and is expected to be away for around a year – the new position will cover this and commence on the 1st of December 2018.

Being a legally aided firm, we believe that a suited candidate would showcase an understanding of the legal aid rules and procedures, alongside a knowledge of the CCMS system.

We are hoping to find a candidate with a wide range of experience within:

·        Divorce and Finances

·        Separation

·        Civil Partnerships

·        Cohabitation Disputes

·        Child Arrangements Order

·        Protection from Violence and Harassment Orders

·        Experience of pre and post nuptial agreements would be an advantage

As we are a very client focused firm, we believe this particular role would be best suited to a confident candidate with excellent communication skills and great attention to detail. A commitment to our established client base and to continuing to build the department are essential.

You must be confident to undertake your own advocacy work in order to ensure that clients are represented effectively at court. This would be both before Lay Justices and the District Judges.

To be considered for this position, we require that you must have experience within managing your own case load and be very organised, as well as being able to work professionally under pressure.
