Claire Garside joined the firm in 2013 after leaving for a short period of time to work in Pontefract.

Claire has over 15 years’ experience working in the legal profession and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2006.  Claire specialises in all aspects of matrimonial and family law matters.  Her main emphasise is on Divorce, Matrimonial Finance, Private Children Law and Domestic Violence work.

Claire qualified as an Advocate in 2013 meaning that she can undertake more complex cases and give clients the continuity of representing them from first appointment to final hearing.

Claire is also a member of the Law Society’s Mental Health Law Panel and often represents clients whose liberty has been removed at the Mental Health Review Tribunal.

This dual qualification means that Claire can apply both areas of law to often very difficult circumstances where clients are experiencing both mental health problems and matrimonial/relationship breakdown.
