Joseph Nahal-Macdonald, Criminal Defence Solicitor

Joseph Nahal-Macdonald studied law at Leeds Metropolitan University at undergraduate level (LL.B) between 2004 and 2007, before completing his LPC between 2007 and 2009.

He joined Grahame Stowe Bateson as office junior in 2009 and was eventually rewarded with a training contract in 2011. Joseph undertook work in Family, Mental Health and Criminal Defence during training. Whilst working at GSB as a Trainee Solicitor, Joseph also undertook a Masters Degree (LL.M) in the field of Privacy Law which was completed in October 2013.

He qualified as a Solicitor in March of 2013, and currently practices almost exclusively in Crime, though still holding interests in other areas of practice. As of August 2013 Joseph is a probationary police station representative, and aspires to gain duty accreditation and higher rights of audience in the future.

Joseph practices a general mixed crime caseload, including; Fraud, Assaults, Drugs, Sexual and Motoring Offences. He is adept at applying knowledge and experience of other areas of law, such as Mental Health, to defences and mitigation in the criminal sphere, and is especially interested in cases concerning forensic evidentiary and psychiatric issues."
